I suddenly decided that "Hey!, I'm online, and should ask for help."

So, I googled up Paranormal Forum...and got a site that was inactive...So I tried again. Well, um, I'd like to wait for someone to come by and ask what's wrong, but I figure I'd get more help this way.

Last weekend I was at my Grandparent's house. I sleep in the upstairs room. I'm fairly certain their house in haunted. I keep my door shut at certain times, it feels like that'll keep them out. I was laying on the bed, the time of four was creeping near and I was starting to get ready to do something adult-like and inappropriate when I heard the birds scratching about up there.

I figured they were birds or squirrels or something in the attic above my room...but instead of the usual scratching, it made a definite -thudding- noise and a very audible voice said "I want you" It sounded like a young boy's voice, but I could be mistaken. I was quiet terrified.

I went to turn on the radio- to make it go away. It started to sssshaaaaal over to the center of the ceiling. That's when I ran down stairs.

This isn't the first time something paranormal happened. This was the most recent. I'm not sure if I'm flattered or scared.

I'm Flascared.

How long has this been going on?
How old are you?
Does anyone else in the family hear these things?
Have you talked to your family about this?

I think the first thing to do would be talk to your grandparents about it. If the house is haunted and they live there, then they have probably experienced things before and will be more sympathetic to the situation.

Going on? I dunno, since I was eleven.

I've brought it up to them. And the various other family members. Every house I've lived at, I experience stuff. This was just the most recent, is all!

I don't need sympathy, I just need to know if I should be worried or not. I'm kinda getting edgy about staying in older places anymore.

Hi Darngoodbacon. Interesting post. In case you're not familiar with the following terms, you might consider familiarizing yourself with them:

1) Incubus: a male spirit that comes to have sex with a human female while she is asleep.

2) Succubus: a female spirit that comes to have sex with a human male while he is asleep.

These articles are very good and accurate. However, they fail to go into the more modern, psychological explanations of Incubi and Succubi, which have to do with latent and repressed sexual desires. In his masterpiece, The Occult (2003 Watkins Publishing), Colin Wilson gives a wonderful dissertation on the Inquisition, Witchcraft, Christianity and sexual repression, Incubi and Succubi all rolled into one. The entire book presents the occult in the most sensible, rational, plausible, understandable, and enjoyable ways. Its 800 pages are well worth reading to anyone interested in the occult.
