The original was made in 1978 and to me it shows its age. The zombie special effects were awful. The zombies themselves would pose little to no threat to anyone much less wipe out the United States. There is no comparison between the first "Dawn of the Dead" and it's remake. The remake is superior in every way and I think the best zombie movie ever made.
