Taco Bell ghost?
I work at Taco Bell (wooo!), and when I first started back in August, my coworkers would joke about how there was a ghost that haunted the place. As time went on, I started to witness the things that made them joke about it in the first place. For instance, everyone with a headset would hear someone pull up to the drive through and order something, and then they'd stop responding. We'd send someone to check if anyone was there, and there would be no one. Not someone leaving because they pulled a prank, and not a car sitting there. The timer will go off on its own, too. More recently... I was working the drive through and we had no one to work the front register. I turned around to see if anyone was waiting there, and I saw a tall man with dark clothing standing there looking over toward me. A co-worker of mine, Liz, peeked out from the kitchen and saw him too. As soon as I got the chance, I turned around to go take his order. But he wasn't there, so I figured he'd gone to the restroom. When I didn't see him, I asked Raymond, a worker on break who would have been staring straight at the man from where he'd been sitting the whole time, if he knew where the man went. "What guy are you talking about?" he asked. When I thought I'd been seeing things, Liz came out and asked where the man had gone. Since she'd seen him too, it made me more certain there was a guy there. Raymond swears there was no man there. A couple weeks later, I was working a night shift. I'd been doing dishes, and a co-worker was on her break, sitting where Raymond was the aforementioned day, texting someone. I looked out to see if anyone was there, and saw that same man sitting across from her. I did a double take, and he was gone. The next morning, I told Liz about it, and we got to talking about ghosts the whole day. We decided to call the ghost "Joe" because he was about the same height as Joseph, another worker. Since we named him, more weird things have been happening. I live two minutes walking distance from there, so it wouldn't surprise me if "Joe" followed me home for these things to happen... - The doorknob rattled the other night. We thought it was one of the cats trying to get in (they actually know how to open doors and have succeeded on occasion), but when my dad went to let the cat in, none of them were there. - My whole family saw the curtains close on their own - and they're the skeptics! - I was home alone and left the curtains open because the house was dark. I went to shower, and when I came out, they had been closed. - The fridge opened on its own on one occasion. - I saw a large black shadow move from one side of the dining room to the other. It moved quickly and seemed to disappear into the wall. - I heard a bedroom door open and close when no one was on that side of the house. None of this is really SCARING me, but it's just a little weird. And as if that wasn't enough, there was a puddle of nacho cheese that appeared in front of an empty pump at work. As I said, I'm not afraid. If all this is, in fact, the ghost of "Joe," he's a little mischievous, at worst. Any opinions on any of this?

Yeah he doesn't sound too bad. That's one thing you have to take into consideration when you record spirit voices (E. V. P.) like I do -- or anything else, evidence-wise, like image recordings (called ITC...I think) and all -- is that if "they" know you're trying to check them out, they can, yeah, follow you home and all. Quite a few spirits are bored and wanting attention, which if they know you can give it to them, they're all in for something like that.
Never heard of a residential (i. e. the Taco Bell one) spirit following someone home though, that's a new one!

The thing is I've never really tried to have any contact with him, though. It just sort of happens. Never done EVPs or anything of the sort. Maybe he's just excited that we talk about him. As for him following me home, assuming it IS him, I live close enough that it just doesn't surprise me. xD It's about 150 yards away, if that much.

Interesting, Tho I would see if there is any history, as to why " joe " is at taco bell. Could he have been a past worker? Following you home, that IS possible.

All anyone really knows is that before the area was developed, it was farm land, but he doesn't seem to be dressed like any sort of farmer. He looks like a city guy. And we know that the place used to be a Dairy Queen. That's about all the history myself or the other workers and managers know as of yet.

At such a close proximity, I imagine the spirit would have little difficulty going back and forth to essentially haunt both locales. (If distance has any meaning for spirits )

What kind of social life does one have to have in order to decide to spend your afterlife haunting your local fast-food restaurant?

Wonder if this "one" is some relation to the "one" that made TOYS R US so famous sometime ago?

Re: Taco Bell ghost?
Update on Joe: I kind of think his name is actually Vincent Joseph. Whether that's his first and last, or first and middle names, I don't know, but I think that's his real name. I was lying in bed one night and heard, very clearly, a man's voice just say that in my head. Not in my ear. It was in my head, and it was a voice I'd never heard before. I hadn't been thinking about anything, really. But the voice startled me. I think it was Joe telling me his real name (obviously, I'm still calling him Joe. Out of habit, I guess). Also, I was at work the other day and went to get something from the shelf where we keep all our dishes, and no one was anywhere near me. It was early morning, no one in the store except me and three coworkers, who were on the other side of the store. I grabbed what I needed and heard something behind me, turned to look, and saw a scoop fall from the rack onto the counter completely on its own. No doors had been slammed or anything. I can find no explanation for this. Also, the other night, I had met someone and was all excited over him. I had been talking to one of my friends online when I felt like someone was looking over my shoulder at what I was typing. This presence seemed restless and would move from right behind me, to my left shoulder, to the right, then I could have sworn it was still in the room but far away from me, then moved back to my side, but with a little more distance than initially. I suspect this was Joe, too. And the restlessness..Well, I think maybe he knew this guy I met was bad news, basically. Things didn't work out with the guy, and I haven't felt like there's any restlessness around me since.
