Woman found oven glove in loaf
The bakers of Hovis bread have been fined £750 after a woman found part of an oven glove baked into her loaf.
The woman, from Omagh in County Tyrone, had toasted a slice of white bread and was starting to eat it when she noticed it was full of pieces of thread.
A court heard following the incident in December 2008, the woman contacted her local council.

This story makes me laugh. Poor woman. XD I'd hate to be eating bread and find a cooked oven glove in it! she must've gotten some extra fiber though, eh?

Ah! I knew there was a joke to be found in this story, just couldn't quite piece it together!

At least it's not as bad as the finger in the chili. She got off lightly.

If you're talking about the Wendy's incident, that was fake, the lady who (yes, put it there) put it there was known to be a hoaxster and a liar, she even lied about how she sued some company and got a big amount from whatever it was (another hoax, I don't recall the details), which a rep from the company denied that they ever paid her a dime. Pretty sad to boast/lie about that when anyone could go to the local law library to look up any civil cases there and easily debunk her story.
Dunno about this one though.

Really? I hadn't heard this. Thanks for enlightening me.

I'm surprised you hadn't, it was all over the papers and all. Yeah, the lady was a fraud, she got the finger from her husband or ex-husband or something, some worker at his work site had lost it during an accident. Dunno why they kept it unless it was just for this very thing, to try to get some money out of it.

To be frank, I haven't really read the news all that much until recently. The only part which I regularly read prior to this year was the Science Times section of the New York Times.
