So I mentioned that my son (3 years) has been seeing a guy in our house and my wife and I couldn't see him.
On Friday I finally found were the couple that we had bought our house from had moved to, so we arranged a visit for later that day... We were talking and Roman (the one that sees the guy) brings over a picture and tells the lady that he doesn't like the guy in the picture. She said that was her husband Gerald and he had died 10 months ago.
She says that they lived in the house from 1954 to 2008 and that the entire time things would happen like bowls would get broken and light bulbs would get unscrewed and fall out. The house would also get very cold very fast. And the worst thing is back in 1979 they were getting in the car and he felt like he was stabbed, when they looked at his back there were scratch marks. Her husband had said that he will figure out what was happening and fix it no matter how long it takes.
So if Roman is seeing the previous owner and not the other ghost does that mean that the other one is gone or is it possible that he just isn't showing himself?

Either one is possible, but if you have a battle of the spirits going on in your house, and Roman is only seeing the good spirit, you're most likely only going to see that one. Evil entities, and good and bad spirits, are 2 completely different things. The evil entities, or what the evil thing that attacked the old man was, are actually a build up of negative energy. It's not a spirit, or a ghost of a person that was once living, but negative energy that has collected in the house over time. All negative thoughts, actions, and dreams, can feed into an entity, and make it stronger.

What you have to decipher, is whether or not this bad thing is an entity, or a spirit. Entities don't show themselves, normally, unless in the shape of a dark animal, or something you fear. Spirits will hide, or come out in plain view.

My guess is that this thing was an entity. However, since Roman has only noticed the man, and no one, from what we've been told, has noticed really BAD things happening, I believe that being is gone, and the old man, is showing himself to Roman, to protect him. He vowed he'd get rid of whatever was terrorizing his family, and home. Maybe this is his way of staying behind to make sure the house stays safe and protected.

I don't know. Breaking a bowl and spreading the glass around on the floor doesn't seem very friendly. Additionally, the woman said that the evil presence used to break bowls. I think you probably just have two spirits/entities in your house now: The original presence and now the old man trying to stop it.

The woman said the entity used to break glass and spread it all over, but has it happened in your house, to you, since you've been there?
