This is not a, "Conspiracy Theory." I just didn't know where else to post this. On Friday, January 29, 2010, an audio tape believed to be from Osama bin Laden was aired on the Arab TV network Al-Jazeera. The, "War on Terror," is now in its ninth year. I've been following it relatively closely. I must say that, after reading the transcriptions of this tape, for the first time in nine years, I've actually understood Osama bin Laden's position in this whole mess. Following, are quotes from both Osama bin Laden and the Associated Press (AP) for your reference:
Quote:
The al-Qaida leader blamed the United States and other industrialized nations for climate change and said the only way to prevent disaster was to break the American economy, calling on the world to boycott U.S. goods and stop using the dollar.
Quote:
He described the United States as in the thrall of major corporations that he said, "are the true criminals against the global climate," and are to blame for the global economic crisis, driving, "tens of millions into poverty and unemployment."
Quote:
"People of the world, it's not right for the burden to be left on the mujahedeen (holy warriors) in an issue that causes harm to everyone. Boycott them to save yourselves and your possessions and your children from climate change and to live proud and free."
Quote:
"The world is held hostage by major corporations, which are pushing it to the brink. World politics are not governed by reason, but by the force and greed of oil thieves and warmongers and the cruel beasts of capitalism."
Quote:
To stop global warming, he called for the, "wheels of the American economy," to be brought to a halt. "This is possible...if the peoples of the world stop consuming American goods."
Quote:
"We must also stop dealings in the dollar and get rid of it as soon as possible. I know that this has great consequences and grave ramifications, but it is the only means to liberate humanity from slavery and dependence on America."
Quote:
He also called for the, "punishing and holding to account," of corporation chiefs, adding, "this should be easy for the American people to do, particularly those who were effected by Hurricane Katrina or those who lost their jobs, since these criminals live among them, particularly in Washington, New York and Texas."
In the quotes above, everything makes perfect sense to me except for the issue of, "Global Warming," which strikes me as peculiar, out of place, and inconsistent with Osama bin Laden's previous messages. What exactly is Osama bin Laden's sudden interest in, "Global Warming," anyway? My personal take on the matter is that, "Global Warming," is far less a concern of Osama bin Laden's and much more a tool for rallying the world against the US. It is exceedingly clear that he is against primarily American major corporations dominating global economy and, in his opinion, enslaving the peoples of the world. It is, also, now exceedingly clear to me why he chose the American World Trade Center (WTC) buildings as his targets. And, it's clear that, at this point, the rest of the world is very angry with the US---even our allies, who side with us just because they want to be on the more powerful side. Unfortunately, Osama bin Laden is now stuck with an international reputation as a terrorist. Perhaps he thought that the world would not rally behind a terrorist, but that it would rally behind such a sensitive issue as, "Global Warming." Perhaps he thought that by aligning himself with the, "Global Warming," issue, he could carry out his anti-American major corporation agenda indirectly.
I find the economic ramifications here fascinating. As an American, I almost want to send Osama bin Laden/al Qaida a monetary donation in support of his cause. Let me explain. America's high paying jobs began leaving our country the very day the North American Fair Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was signed, which has led to, presently, the worst economic crisis the US has seen since the Great Depression. Now, if Osama bin Laden can convince the world to boycott American goods, eliminate the US Dollar from its systems of trade, and eventually drive American corporations out of its countries---in effect, if America is the only country in which American corporations, goods, and currency can thrive---where do you think all of those foreign jobs are going to go? Bingo! Right back home to America.
In my opinion, the US has all of the resources it needs---both natural and otherwise---to be a strong, self-sufficient, and self-supportive country. So, why the Hell isn't it? I think the answer is, "Globalization:" American major corporations in consort with our Federal Government trying to dominate world economy and get rich doing so.
I'm not a terrorist. I don't agree with terrorism. And, I don't agree with violence as a means of forwarding any agendas, political, or otherwise. However, it seems to me that, indirectly, Osama bin Laden is doing more---much, much more---to benefit the average, American, middle-class, and poor than any of our US government officials, including President Obama. What a crying shame that a so-called, "terrorist," from a Third World country, armed only with dignity, a sense of humanity, and a tape recorder is doing more to restore average Americans' pride, dignity, and wealth than our own government officials, whom we elect to represent our best interests!
Any input?
